SSG Ryan Eugene Haupt was a member of the Army's elite sniper section assigned to the 1st Battalion, 68th Armor Regiment in the 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division out of Fort Carson, Colorado.
He was a squad leader over two sniper teams and served in the U.S. Army for 6 1/2 year. He attended Sniper School, became a marksman and was mentioned as one of the best.
A fun loving guy, a prankster and jokester, and he loved to make people laugh.
Life Achievements/ Recognitions:
What he enjoyed the most: going out on humanitarian missions while serving in Iraq. His squads would go out to schools and spend time with the Iraqi children, passing out school supplies and playing soccer.
