  • Eligibility: Recipients must be the spouse or child (under the age of 26) of: (1) U.S. military personnel who lost their life as a result of hostile or terrorist action or as a result of non-hostile battle death as defined by the Department of Defense. (2) An employee of the U.S. Government serving in a combat role, who lost their life in the defense of their country during hostile or terrorist action or as a result of a non-hostile battle death as defined by the Department of Defense.
