Kenneth Westbrook

August 13, 1968 - Ocotber 7, 2009

Summary:

Kenneth loved life, liked to tease and make jokes with everyone he encountered.

Throughout his school years he played the trumpet and in high school was on the Shiprock High School football team.

He loved to hunt and fish; they were his ultimate favorite pastimes. Kenneth was an avid cigar-smoker and enjoyed collecting them. He was an excellent cook, baker, as well as an awesome griller. He loved listening to '80s rock and country music.

Kenneth cherished the times he was able to enjoy scenic drives in the Rocky Mountains with his family. When relaxing, Kenneth loved watching sci-fi movies and The History Channel. He also liked to build models of military vehicles. Watching football games were also another favorite pastime. He was a huge Green Bay Packers fan!

He wanted nothing more but to be an infantryman and to serve his country that he loved so much. Love for the Lord was always in his heart.

SFC Westbrook will be greatly missed by his family, friends and those who were near and dear to him. His quick-witted sense of humor and hearty laughter will always be remembered.

Kenneth was also a man of God, reading the bible on a regular basis.

Graduated from Shiprock High School (1987)

Notable Awards: Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal.

Married childhood sweetheart (1987)

Father of three boys.
