David C. Knadle

Summary:

David Charles Knadle was born on May 2, 1986 in Newark, Texas.

A Texas native, David graduated early from Richland High School in 2003. He then attended Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, TX, graduating in 2008 with a Bachelor of Business Administration.

David followed his dreams to serve his country as an aviator by joining the U.S. Army on November 5, 2012.

He graduated Warrant Officer Basic Course as an aviator, favoring the AH-64E, Apache helicopter.

Describing his personality, his wife Silkey, described David this way, “He could do anything,and if he didn’t know how to do it, he could figure it out.”

Physical health was important to David. He participated in bodybuilding competitions and placed second in a local competition.

CW2 Knadle joined the Army as an active duty soldier in April 2013 and was subsequently assigned to the 1st Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment in April 2015, according to the 1st Cavalry Division.

David loved his family, weight lifting, flying and Texas. He was easy going, funny and kind and had an easy sense of humor that his daughter carries on.

Life Achievements/ Recognitions:

David was always very ambitious and pursued a Master's degree in aeronautical engineering with the University of North Dakota.

Bronze Star, Army Aviator Badge, Army Service Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and two Army Achievement Medals.
