Aaron J. Eidem

April 29, 1978 - February 18, 2016

Summary:

Immediately after high school graduation, Aaron entered the Army and went to basic training at Fort Hood, GA, before beginning active duty at Fort McClellan, AL.

He served at duty stations both foreign and stateside, including one tour in the Baltic areas and three tours in Iraq.

Aaron’s current duty station was as an adjunct faculty member and assistant professor of military science at MSU in Springfield, MO, supporting the ROTC Unit.

He enjoyed hunting, especially with his dad and was a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He had a strong passion for woodworking.

Having long visits with his grandfather Wilson, who also had a long military career, was also among Aaron’s favorite things to do.

He and Amber were members of the Risen Ranch Church, Carthage, MO.

Life Achievements/ Recognitions:

He graduated from Auburn High School in 1996.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree from MSSU, and later his Master’s Degree through military programs.

He was recognized for his leadership and excellence in performing his duties/

He was a devoted husband and father and made it a priority to spend as much time as he could with his family.

He was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He also posthumously earned the Marechaussee in Bronze and the Soldiers Medal for heroism.
